Draft — pending professional review

This document describes how the website currently works, but it has not yet been reviewed by a legal professional and is not legal advice. Treat it as a starting point for your counsel rather than a binding statement. Remove this notice by setting 'draft' => false in legal-meta.php once it has been signed off.

02 How your data reaches us

Form submissions are delivered to us by email, to info@singlekeyadvisory.com. This website does not keep a customer database; there is no account to log into and nothing is stored on the web server after the message is sent. Your details then live in our email system and, if you become a client, in our internal records.

If you apply for a job, our system sends you an automatic acknowledgement to the address you gave, so you know the application arrived.

03 Cookies and similar technology

This site uses a small number of third-party services. What each one does:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — measures page views and general usage patterns. It sets cookies and receives your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Chatbase — powers the chat widget in the corner. If you open it, what you type is processed by Chatbase in order to answer you.
  • YouTube — video embeds use the youtube-nocookie.com domain, which does not set advertising cookies unless you press play.
  • Unsplash — serves some article images; your browser requests them directly from Unsplash’s servers.

Separately, the site stores two things in your own browser: your light or dark theme choice, and a flag noting that you have already seen the opening animation. Both stay on your device, are never sent to us, and can be cleared through your browser settings.

04 Who else sees your data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. It is shared only with:

  • our email and hosting providers, who process it on our instructions in order to run the service;
  • the analytics and chat providers named above, to the extent described there;
  • professional advisers, auditors or regulators, where we are legally required to disclose it.

05 How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become engagements — kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
  • Job applications — kept for the recruitment cycle and a reasonable period after, in case a similar role opens. Ask us and we will delete yours sooner.
  • Client records — retained for as long as professional and statutory record-keeping obligations require.

06 Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

  • confirm what personal data of yours we hold and how it is being used;
  • correct anything inaccurate, or complete anything missing;
  • erase data we no longer need for the purpose it was given;
  • withdraw a consent you previously gave, which stops future processing based on it;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights if you are unable to.

To make a request, email info@singlekeyadvisory.com from the address you contacted us with, so we can be confident it is you. We will respond within a reasonable period.

07 Security

The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are validated and rate-limited to deter abuse, and access to our email is restricted to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, so please do not send confidential documents through a web form unless we have asked you to.

08 Children

This site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted data, tell us and we will delete it.

09 Changes

If we change how the site handles data, this page changes with it and the effective date at the top is updated. Material changes will be signposted on the site.
